cheats for pokemon pearl for ds

My 7 year old son has been playing pokemon pearl for a while and the other day asked for some cheats since he is sort of stuck.
i searched online and found some walk through guides as well as on ebay there is item by action replay

can someone give me advice as to if this is any good or link me to the best guide/cheats. so many of the ones out there searching via google seem poorly constructed. my goal is to make it so he can win more easily.

i bought my son that action replay device. It didn't work. save your money.

Train his pokemon for him. Make sure to get them about 10 to 15 levels over what the AI uses. Or tell him to make them stronger or something. Easiest cheat for any of the pokemon games.

i dont know how to play the darn thing so not sure i would actually help his situation

There aren't many cheats, since the game also battling over wifi. However, if you want you can run a DS emulator on the computer and wifi trade your son uber pokemon..
