What kind of P4 is this from?

From a 2.53GHz @ 3154MHz.
From a fresh reboot it can hit 435000+/-. But I only reboot after installing programs or am about to call it a night.

seeing those results makes me cry..i get about 150 --> 170K Cems/sec depending on the values on my 1.2 ghz tbird w/ pc133....

i have to combine my main box, my old one, my gfs, and a friends to get 450..lol

Your rate goes down after running for a while because it is cumulative. So if you have some time where you cannot connect or you are playing a game or something, it gets averaged in.

My 1600+ @ 1817 is doing 240000 or so. 400000+ is nuts!!!!!!!

I thought ~300k on my XP 1700+ @ 2.08GHz was fast! I'll have to check my P4 2.4B @ 2.93, to see what that's doing...of course I'll have to check them when i get back home in a couple of days

this is out of the box from HP, but not even a production build
it is marked "Early Evaluation Program"
so i am sure there is room for improvement

Check out my running-time on that! I know the rate is a little slow, it was just dropping for the past 5-6 days before the crash. Its usually @ 290k.

I messed around with CAS setting a little bit. It is running @ same the CPU speed. But I raised the voltage on the memory to bring the timings to 2-5-2-2 from 2-7-3-2.

Put a phone on your modem line and press any button. If you can hear static on you phone after that, you got a bum phone line.

Either that or you have a WinModem. The best one in the world does not even come close to competing with the lousiest hardware based 33.6 modem.

In either case, post what the situation is. Being my father owns an ISP, I have some very good insight on this situation and can help out some.

I can't wait to get my 1.6GHz Pentium-M (probably Monday) and see what kind of rate it puts out. Of course it wouldn't hit those heights but it should rule the laptop class.

I had to add to this thread... I had picked up a high stepping proud XP1700+ T-bred and a new NF7-S

Put this puppy together tonight, and was able to take it to 200fsb right off the bat... have to love a 1.5 default voltage cpu

SoB on an XP1700+ on steroids!!!!

Well, after all is said and done...
SoB is safe to say every bit as dependant on memory bandwidth.

I failed to get the screen shots. But more memory bandwidth helps SoB more than CPU speed.
@ 3.344GHz with less than 390DDR (forgot the exact speed), SoB ran slower than 600MHz lower at a higher memory bandwidth. ... I thought all this time SoB did not care about bandwidth...

I posted in the GH forum (backup thanks to sean2002 , although I failed to mention him or TA on this matter ), memory that will run 450+DDR @ CAS 2-2-2-7 or higher with default voltage or just a tid little higher.
Looks like HyperX is on its way next week . Being my XMS PC3000 will not run stabily @ 408+ DDR with 2.8volts (or higher) with 2-2-2-7 or higher :disgust: timings.

Anybody wanna trade a celery that runs @ 2.8GHz (2.0 stock) for a milder Northwood?
