You're assuming it's original underneath. Judging by the meat on this car, I doubt it.

Bye, bye little Rex.

And an STi can be modified as well.

And good luck getting around with a muscle car in the snow.

nice find!
One of my classmates had a 440 convertible. Not nearly as fast as that hemi but rare even at the time. I had a lowly 340 and yes, I was jelly

Slower than a modern day WRX.
No way... You're saying that a car which has 40 more years of engineering and technology advancements has advantages? Shocking!

Sad for you that you can't appreciate the great cars in history.

Actually, it doesn't, as he even says. He mentioned they both run the quarter in 13.5. That would make them equal.

The difference is he's left driving a Plastic POS lesbianmobile that in 10 years no one will even remember.

Classic Cuda > Rice Rice Baby.

Performance wise yes the STI is better, but I guarantee freaking t you that Barracuda will turn 10X as many heads and sound 10X better doing it. It looks like something out of an old action flick. Nobody will care about the STI thirty years from now.

And sadly, that's the case for nearly all cars of today. They're disposable. But 30 more years from now, that Cuda will be priceless.

I think a lot of the differing opinions has a great deal to do with age, I am a dinosaur and I freely admit it. I lived the muscle car era, drove a few Hemi cars, owned many of the now classic MoPars. I can appreciate modern technology and the impact computers have on modern cars but there is just no comparison to the crude, brute sound and force of those 60's & 70's cars. Hemi's and the like bring $100,000+, no WRX will ever bring that kind of money, there is a reason for that.

I don't know if that is necessarily true, and you don't either. A more safe bet is that petroleum will be more rare than it is today, but even that is an uncertainty.

I agree that things are "not made like they used to be", and that classic cars command prices on how good they look and sound, this is not news to anyone who cares about cars. As all commercial things go, they will only be as valuable as whatever the next person will pay for them. If you honestly think you can predict trends for the next 30 years then more power to you. I will personally not pay any mind to your predictions, and you are not the first psychic to come along, so good luck!
