haha the pig is big...but not THAT big. If he were to go crazy during a show all it would take is a high powered tranq to knock him out. That kid could have made some good money....ohwell.

As for the picture there is no way he is 20 feet behind the hog. If you look at the background in relation with the tree it all seems to jive.
Remember 9 feet is quite a bit though it may not look like a lot if you just have a measuring tape, but when it's in relation to something material, it will seem much larger. Take for example 9' ceilings in many newer houses, they look much taller than they actually are. Or bridge underpasses that are only 12', but they look like 20' when you stand there. The picture may make it look a bit larger, but I don't think it's doctored at all. It's just a huge ****** hog!

Where did I say the pictured was doctored up, I think it's legit, but it was taken to make it look alot bigger than it would look if the boy was right up next to it. I wasn't serious about the 20 feet. I don't doubt at all that the hog was how ever big it was. My father in law once put some poison out to kill some hogs once, about a week later we were driving along the woodsline and started smelling something dead. We went down into the wood and there lied the biggest hog I've ever seen in real life. Not even close in size to this one, but it was in the 7-8 foot range.

Have you ever been around a wild hog? A wild hog 1/3 the size of that one could maul someone to death. Theres no way you could keep that one around for shows.

Wild hogs are some mean MOFO's. It's not unheard of too fight wild hogs and pit bulls. A wild hog that size could kill a bunch of pit bulls in a heart beat.

I've gotta agree... something's f'd up in that picture. There's no way in the world the thing in that picture weighs only 1000 lbs; either that, or it's a freaky camera angle. This is spoken from someone who has raised pigs. The last pig I took to the butcher was around 600 pounds. (I got back 440 pounds of meat.) The 600 pound pig was a fraction of the size of that big thing; and by fraction, I mean 1/5th, not 1/2.

edit: on second though, it appears that the photographer stood as close as he could to the hog and get it the full width of the frame, while the boy was back several feet behind the hog (definitely not leaning on it.) Similar to the way fishermen make pictures of their bass look like they're a lot bigger than they really are.
