Well-made ad, but not well-conceived.

- The ending doesn't make sense. Why does she interrupt them and then there's a continue timer?

- Coin-op arcades are practically extinct and no longer relates to the target demographic.

- Why does the ad imply that iPhone can't do panoramic pics? There are apps for that!

It's really a stupid commercial for T-Mobile. You're never going to get through to an Apple fanboi with such minor points, and the commercial didn't push their own product at all. The only thing I came away from it with was, "iPhone 4" and "iPhone 5."

It's really a stupid commercial for T-Mobile. You're never going to get through to an Apple fanboi with such minor points, and the commercial didn't push their own product at all. The only thing I came away from it with was, "iPhone 4" and "iPhone 5."

Owning them is perfectly possible, and that seems to be what the ad is trying to imply the purchaser can do. "Buy our whateveritscalled phone and pwn the Apple fanbois with the fact of the superiority of your camera." But then they go and say the camera has only equal megapixels and just a few rather mundane additional functions. So, T-Mobile, why the hell would I buy your phone, especially if the only thing you have to market about it is the piddly camera?

The Samsung commercial is FAR superior:

Now that's a commercial. I pay no attention to anything relating to smartphones, yet after seeing it once the iPhone is effectively wrecked and "Samsung" is burned into my head as its superior. It just hits on all the right psychological triggers.
