You keep saying that but that's all it's about.

Bingo. Two 30 inch lcd's are the same price as a 70 inch HD tv from Sony

By the way, that 30" display they have isn't the best in the industry. The IBM T221 is. It's very expensive, and it's not as big, but it's much higher resolution.

Yeah but the IBM doesn't have a good enough response time and it is smaller. 30" and the 4mp res is nice.

Well that is unfair.
The 30" LCD's run a MUCH higher resolution then the 70" HDTV from Sony. And that is NOT going to fit on your desk.
I'll definately look in to getting a Mac sometime in the future. The OS seems SO MUCH better then Windows. I'm not bothered about my Windows pc crashing as it doesn't much at all. The features do look very nice but how often am I going to use them though?!

that spotlight search tech looks great. if its really snappy as itunes search.. i wonder if they do the scans for meta data and stuff when the system is idle, or when the files are put on the system. like where it came up with info that was inside a pdf. winblows search right now is so slow its something u dread using.

I talked with my CS roommate (I'm also in CS) about Spotlight too. We both thought that it must index the information somehow (hell, he said "index" somewhere in there when he was talking about it) so it's just a binary search. Proabably saves the information as soon as the file is created. Probably some sort of linked list so that you don't have to reorder 100k items when you only add one thing. So when you search for two words, it probably checks a few index tables (maybe 10-20?) for each word you have and returns any results with the keywords in it.
Pretty easy to implement, WHY DID IT TAKE SO LONG TO COME OUT WITH?! Though, I think XP has a "index this file for later use" option for searches. I never use it though so I have no idea how much it speed things up
