check sum error

Hey,
What does it mean when u turn on ur PC and it says "check sum error" "defualts loaded".... I can't give exat system specs at the moment cause its my brothers PC.

ok update.... after he punched F1 it loaded windows and didnt do it again...

The stored BIOS configuration data has gotten corrupted, so BIOS defaults were loaded instead of stored settings. Go into BIOS seetup and change settings to how you want them.

thanks, now that u said i remeber it, go figure.... i was working on another PC for another friend when called so i couldnt handle two PC problems at once....
