I went to the bank yesterday and it closed like 4 minutes ago (whn i tugged on the door). That got me quite irritated because it was peak traffic time and it means difference between a 10-minute drive or an hour long road trip back home. oh well heres the link.

Everyone whines about banks, but they never consider how much they're PAYING for the service. We expect free checking accounts, so we get ****** service! My bank keeps short hours most days, but on Thursdays they're open until 7 p.m. So if you need to do your banking in person and you work normal hours you go on Thursday or Saturday.

Doesn't matter to me what hours they're open, I go to my bank maybe twice a year. You can make deposits at ATMs too.

I'd say I'm paying them roughly 7% of my account balance per year. They keep my money in a checking account making little to no interest and turn around and loan that money out for 5-6% on home loans and 8-9% on auto loans. This is why I have almost no money in my checking account at any given time. I doubt many people do this however.

True, but there are other considerations. I have a business checking account at US Bank. The only way you can get customer service is in person at a branch location. They will not do service for business accounts over the phone. So yeah, having early closing times sucks.

I go maybe once in a blue moon due to the advent of direct deposit and online banking. (usually go when I get personal checks from people) I am paying for the service therefore I do not deserve shatty service in any way shape or form.

I love my banks and never had a bad experience with them (navy federal and bank of america) I was simply stating that I was late due to large amounts of traffic to come to a door that was locked about 4 minutes ago.

ATMs take up to 5 businesses days to clear whereas if I did it in person at the bank it was issued at I can get the cash in like 10 seconds.

I guess everyone depositing money in your banks are jobless sh|tbricks that can stay at home all day and visit you when you're open from 1-1:05pm.

Haha! I have always wondered the same thing. I mean, the poeple who need to use the bank the most are AT WORK while the bank is open. Banks should be open at least until 6pm.

Banks can do whatever the hell they want because little sh¡ts like us aren't going to offer any competition soon. The barrier to entry is huge, and all the little (littler) guys are always being bought out. (See sig.)

i use a really small regional bank, they are open from 7 a.m. till 7 p.m.,thank god for that
