Man this is a pretty good deal but shipping was $9 for me. Add some stuff to get it to $25 for the free shipping and maybe a $5 coupon makes it a steal.

FYI these knives are worth about $25 or so not that rediculous $240 price. Still a great buy IMO.

I had this in my box. I passed. Maybe if I wasn't a student, I'd buy it, but read the reviews. It isn't really a $240 set, more like $30-$40 tops. Can't sharpen the blades, non-wood handles, yadda yadda. Oh yeah, the wooden block counts as a piece!

Exactly, just because it resembles a Henckel's set doesn't mean it is, but for $5 I don't think you can go wrong with it.

I think many people are fooled into thinking they are getting great Sabatier knives when in fact the great Sabatier knives sell for 450 a set. These are not much better than the Ginsu knives. Yes They have sabatiers name.. that only makes me less certain of buying a quality knife at all since they have 40 different "types" of sets. IMHO amazon is lame in posting a suggested list price we all know NO ONE pays MSRP and I seriously doubt this quality of knife was ever over 200.00.

The only Sabatier knives worth getting are the Au Carbone line. I love mine, much better than my wusthoff (although the do take some care)
