Who the hell cares about cheerleading as a sport? You're not looking at the big sexy picture.

Omg, I knew this cheerleader who was so toned from cheerleading. Seriously she was the hottest girl ever. The fact that she had the potential to kick my ass made me even more interested in her.

But, of course, she was so far out of my league....

I wouldn't call it a sport since you can't do anything to prevent the other team from scoring points, the rest of your post is... disagreeable.

Whatever. How many cheerleaders do you know from high school is being a productive member of the society? I know some popped kids out, with different fathers, some became drug addicts, some dropped out of college, none became successful doctors, lawyers, scientists, engineers, businesswoman, etc. I stand by my opinion that cheerleading promotes shallow personalities and dumbs down its participants.

you must have went to a shitty school.

most of them i knew went on to college.

I find it humorous that the OP thinks that he'd be able to keep his future daughter from doing what she wants to do. Easier to herd cats, or staple Jell-O to a tree!!

Well my wife was both a H.S. and college cheerleader. She was valedictorian or her HS class and graduated with honors from college, received her masters and her CPA and works for the top Aerospace company in America.

Come to think of it, I was also a H.S. and college cheerleader, graduated valedictorian of my high school class and received my engineering degree from a top five program. The majority of the guys and girls I cheered and coached with turned out quite successful. But hey, what do I know?

Want to discuss how successful the members of my high school football team are these days?

I remember one of my classmates in college asking one of the lab partners (a chick) about cheerleading for her daughter. The chick was pretty apprehensive about it and pretty much said the same thing about cheerleading being pretty dumb.

I'm not saying that every cheerleader is gonna end up being a trophy wife. Of course there are gonna be "bad apples". I just find the description of cheerleading in popular culture closely resembling cheerleading as a HS activity from what I have seen and I voiced my disgust... It isn't my intention to insult successful cheerleaders.

Ok so you're obviously a geek since you're on a nerd website so you must live at home and masterbate all day and still living in your mommy's basement at age 40. There are generalizations with everything. You obviously think that there are no cheerleaders that are smart or even have a brain so that just speaks of how crappy a highschool you went to.
