That they are. I just like to ask folks cause it helps to know who knows what they're talking about and whose talking out of their asses.

You probably could have started by asking how old I was. I'm too young to have kids.

And frankly, that doesn't mean anything in the context of what I've said. I made some excellent points about how he should pay and have her pay back or various other things. Its clear to me and others here that he is a cheap pot head

Poor you say ehh?

Willing to bet I spend more money for food than your income!

No way to prove it though

I can guarantee I make more at my age than you did at my age though. I bought a house at 24 years of age.

Not that I can prove it either. We just have to go on what you've said. $720 is a lot of money to you. You've said as much in this thread.

First, you have to realize that I come from a place where people made $20 A MONTH.

Your perspective on money and MY perspective on money are WORLD apart.

Yes it is a lot of money to spend on Cheerleading "wear"/BS.

What you make is irrelevant. I've met plenty of people that had more money than your and my family combined, that were as big of an idiot as you are.

Money does not = brains/smart

Who cares what you came from? My father paid $50 a semester for college... the world has changed!

It's SO easy to see who was raised/is spoiled by their parents and who wasn't.

Teaching kids what it takes to make money/paying for their own things (while still contributing in some way) is a lost art.

Ever time I see Shadows post I get a feeling he is one of those fist pumping NJ guido/live in parents basement/$30k millioneer.

It's good comedy though, what can I say.

PS. I was working at 13 and paying $50 a WEEK in rent. Although I did hate it when I was young, I now appreciate what my mother has done. It was a valuable lesson!!!

What you mean is that it is SO easy to make assumptions to justify and rationalize your own actions and it is necessary in order for you to feel better about yourself and stay the course rather than reevaluate your life and view...Oh how I wish I was a low life and could just post here what I really thought of you! Someone has to remain classy, instead of the way you handle things and just lash out with insults and assumptions as facts!

Before you try to understand, consider the person you are trying to understand first!

:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

Herp derp!

Look at me! I am so fragile that my only defense mechanism is to make my own assumptions into reality!

Kids aren't expensive... except they are!

Only in America "extra" activities after school are considered "part of raising kids"

You see, around the world kids don't have such luxuries.

So it all depends on perspective......yours doesn't exactly line up with reality (which is ok, I'm Americanized as well, but I don't forget where I come from).

I have a feeling buying your kid an Iphone and paying services, buying a Car at 16/insurance/fix/........is ALL part of parenting TO YOU.

Just pay the money so she can become a cheerleader, become a popular girl and get her a shot at the Jock.

Your FEELINGS are just your bad assumptions designed to make the opposition's opinions more extreme and less reality, so that YOU can justify your stance.

STOP! If your whole argument is reliant on making things up about people, then you HAVE NO ARGUMENT!

Cheerleading is such a useless "sport"..

She should have played Softball or something...Thats worth $720. Not a short dress with some booty shorts to go underneath.

So do you think that refusing to pay for stuff for your kids while partaking in a expensive drug habit makes you a good parent?

Why did you even bother moving to America if luxuries you have here over the country you came from don't mean anything?

School activities define a lot of people at a young age. I feel sorry for your kid(s) assuming you have more than one. Your 10 year old son wants to join little league (hypothetical ?) and you would tell him to get a job?

You're such a douche nozzle

And your repeated attempts at making extra-curricular activities synonymous with iPhones is just silly. For your information, I had two jobs at 16 and my parents did help me get my first cell phone but I paid the monthly fee. My parents were all about it because it was for their benefit as well in getting ahold of me. Difference is my parents were awesome and my dad wasn't poor

Somebody got passed over at cheerleading tryouts...
Ouch.

I played Basketball and Softball for 6 years. I played Basketball in the off-season for AAU. After those practices I had Piano. I didn't play Softball in the off-season because there wasn't enough time and it would be WAY too expensive to play in two different AAU leagues for two different sports.

I'd say I'm more seasoned than some HS girl in a skimpy outfit jumping around at a Basketball game.

My team package for AAU was $800 up front. That paid for my Uniform, Warm-ups, Bag, Shoes, and League fees.

That wasn't including the cost of traveling up and down the East Coast for Tourneys.

Piano lessons for my sister and I were $200/m not including Recital and Competition fees. We played Piano for 5 years. Now that I am grown, I pay for my own lessons.. My mother also bought us a nice digital piano which she sulked over for a month or two after she got it.

Look, we get it. Not everyone can be attractive. It's OK to be who you are.

Everyone is attractive.

...in some form or another.

I'm just sayin, Vdub is complaining about paying $720....he should be complaining about his daughter wanting to go after an activity that sexualizes and objectifies women.
