Ghetto is a state of mind. Hamburger Helper, like a Maxim subscription or free generic condoms from your college dispensary, may well serve a critical need during a certain stage of your life, but most of us eventually move on.

Thanks! Unfortunately, there is only one store within 25 miles of me and it's the opposite direction of where I go 12 miles. While I don't live in a huge city, it's weird why this flavor is so rare.

The good thing is, I have to head that way once a month so as ridiculous as it sounds, I'll stop by this little grocer and hopefully pick some up!

And how is HH really that bad? No I'm no in college nor do I get any sense of accomplishment from making something like that. However, I make food that tastes good to me not because it's fancy or special. It's meat, potatoes, and cheese. How is that not good? It's quite cheap, easy to make, and heats up for leftovers decently well.

There are two types of people, those who would rather take the blue pill and those who truly enjoy eating and all the social interaction surrounding eating. If you fancy yourself in the latter group, you need to educate yourself in the wide world of epicurean delights. This will never happen if you limit yourself to sub par, mass produced, sorry ass imitations of real food. You have to take the journey yourself. Trying to explain what your missing is like trying to describe colors to the blind.

Hamburger helper is only as good as the meat you have. People shouldn't bash it too much, it's pretty much always just some basic pasta and a sauce/spice packet. Big whoop, hard to feck that up too much.
