Why does anyone even interview cheney? It's just one lie after another. What a complete waste of time & video tape.

I love Bush 1,000x more than DickfCheney.
Guy is an asshole.
Be glad Bush is in power over him. We would have caused WW3 by now.
As I pointed out in a different, but related thread, the popularity (or lack thereof) of Cheney and Bush reflect poorly on the Republican Party as a whole. That's the point you seem to be constantly missing. Ignoring public opinion sounds good on paper, but as the highest elected Republicans in the land, what they do reflects good or bad on other Republicans. Ignore public opinion at your own peril and hey - good luck in 2008 - you'll need it.Originally posted by: Genx87
He said popularity and it is a pointless considering he is done with public office in under 2 years. He could have 0% popularity and he isnt going anywhere.

Well you're jumping to his defence, I was wondering if you were doing so because you thought highly of him and the job he has done. I guess from your response you don't.Originally posted by: Genx87

BTW, Cheney's approval numbers are around 19%.
Oh ok thanks for the update. Ill let his re-election comittee know.
Yes, of course. His credibility is only worthy of consideration in the context of re-election.

Why are you confused? Is that what I said? In fact what point does your response have at all to do with the topic at hand?

You`ll have to pardon Red Dawn he is use to asking meaningless questions that have nothing to do with the topic at hand......
You should be banned for life merely on the audacity of your hypocrisy. LOL@U!Originally posted by: JEDIYoda

The one thing I can't figure out is why Cheney thinks that Wolf is the one asking about his daughter, whereas (back here in, ahem, reality) the statement is merely one which Wolf read verbatim from Focus on the Family and then asked Cheney if he wanted to address it. Perhaps Dick's become accustomed to the "So Mr. Cheney, how many schools have we painted in Iraq?" soft-balls he regularly gets on FNC? :brokenheart:

Just because the statement came from focus on the family does not mean it is an appropriate question to ask the man. What does his daughter have to do with how he does his job as VP?
Look at the reaction to the Obama went to a madrassa mess. The story came from the Clinton's, and yet everyone jumped up and down and blamed Fox and Insight. "How dare they make they make that type of statement!"
Now why is it wrong for Fox and Insight to repeat a story that comes from the Hillary Camp, but it is ok for CNN to ask a question from Focus on the Family? If the question/charge is out of line, then it is out of line, its source should be meaningless.
What would the reaction be if some liberal group posted a statement ala "Chelsea Clinton says she will never marry because of her parents relationship" and someone asked Hillary a question based on that statement. Would that excuse the question?
BTW: The grandchild question was out of line. No reason to ask it. In the midst of the impeachment scandal People magazine wrote a story about Chelsea and the Clinton?s responded with this statement: "We deeply regret and are profoundly saddened by the decision of People magazine to print a cover story featuring our daughter Chelsea,"
The family of the President and VP should be left alone. Unless there is a question of ethics or corruption, neither of which occur in this Cheney question.

Public office = no private life.
If the Clinton's presidency has taught us anything it is that people like Dick Cheney are ALL ACCESS.
And like I said before, he had a great opportunity to elevate himself above partisan drivel...but he ended up looking like such a weasel.
Absolutely.Originally posted by: ProfJohn

There are pictures floating around the internet of Chelsea Clinton drunk off her ass being carred to the car, should the press be able to ask Hillary about this?

It is after all the freedom of the press. You and I may not like it, but that is the way it goes..
You should know, I mean, you have all those pretty "free speech" quotes in your sig. Don't you read them?
