I got my case last week. I have the following mods in the works:
1. 120mm fan mod in front
2. 60mm fan mod at the back - One for now, if not sufficient, i'll put one more. Not possible to put 80mm at the back because of the space
3. blow hole on the cover on the top of the area where the CPU heatsink sits. I am not sure yet if it is just a hole or I'll put another 120mm blowing into the CPU heatsink.
4. I am looking for a replacemment of the plastic front . Does anyone know anyone that fabricates plastic/aluminum materials to fit in the front?
5. I am modding my antec truepower 480W with the sense mod to allow me to control the voltage of each rail. This is the power supply I'll use on this case.

btw, I have an aluminum case right now with removable mobo tray. The reason I am using this desktop form is because of the heatsink upgrade I made. First I am using the super heavy XP-90C on my presott. It is best that heatsink stands up rather than hang on a tower case. Also I installed the silencer on my 9800 pro, again, rather have the weight of the heatsink on the whole mobo.

The PSU is a fortron 250W, very nice qauality indeed but not sufficient for my setup. This PSU are underrated so it can prorably handle 300-350W. So it is okay to use with low end systems.

Happy MOdding.

I got two when they were $14.99.

Very SOLID case construction. As stated before. A solid Sparkle 250watt ps.

I am going to put a NF7-S with a AMD mobile XP proc along with a 9600XT. This should work. I ordered the ps adaptors for the 4pin so it should be a snap.

A 120mm will go in front and the Sparkle will exhaust the case.

I plan to use it as a Monitor stand.

Oh by the way. the $4.99 shipping code is on again.

order 20 (They have 400 of them) and it costs $4.99.

Woo hoo.

My order shipped Thursday but I'm not too happy it took nine business days to ship especially if it was the USB2 PCMCIA card holding up my order considering their stock status on the card said 1-2 days or something. So if it was the card holding up my order, it took them quite a while to find one :disgust:

The case is made of thick steel, not the cheap SECC steel. So it me a while to mod it using a nibbler. However in the process of installing my motherboard, I had to do additional mod because my monster XP-90C with fan was hitting the metal support in the center. I had to cut some part to acoomodate my heatsink.

Also, my IC-7 position for the memory is not good for this case. I had to cut out some part on the lower portion of the drive cages to allow me to remove the memory modules without removing the cages. THe case is not that wide so the drive cage is sitting on top of the lower right edge of the motherboard.

Anyway, my mod is complete. I'll post some pics later.

btw, the sense mod on my antec true power 480W works perfect. Now I have perfect 3.3V, 5v and 12V on my rails.

The Sparkle power supply is decent, but the fan is LOUD. Swapped it out for a Panaflo and it's much better.

Now can someone explain to me how you get drives to match that "charcoal" color? My Antec is the same color and it doesn't go with black OR silver. Who's brilliant marketing idea was that?

Still, when all is said and done, a very decent deal.

thats fine man, but your one person compared to the hundreds on that link from earlier. I'd get one for some modding but i'm afraid it will take months to receive, if it even gets shipped. So alot of you guys ordered and had no problems? I am just going by what 9 out of 10 customers on resellerratings is saying.

Well, I just ordered one with a coupon that makes shipping just $3.99. I'll give them a week or so. I'll report back on the power supply and some pics.

If it's real Chenming cases, they're nothing but quality. I expect the case to be competitive to other HTPC cases. For less than $20, it's worth an inspection.

I have dealt with them on a couple orders previously, and I am NOT impressed. The first order took over a month to recieve, even though it said when i ordered everything was in stock, and alot of phone calls later it did finally arrive, then i had to rma one of the items, this was another major headache, taking a total of 2 months to complete, and even more long distance phone calls. But i still saw a deal i couldnt pass up, so i gave them one more shot, and so far it has been 2 1/2 weeks and nothing received, no tracking numbers, but they claim it has been shipped, and they charged my credit card the day i placed the order. I would not recommend this company to anyone who wants to receive their products anytime soon. plus i'm willing to bet if i add up all the long distance calls made to get all this stuff straightened out I probably paid the same amount as if i got it elsewhere in with 3 day shipping.

I was also put off by the reseller ratings 3 months ago when this deal first started, but I ordered anyway and it shipped in 2 days and I have been very pleased with the case.
It is high quality.
That is why I ordered 2 more.

All this is true from the OP's post,

"Chenming quality
plain good looking design
black(very dark grey -actually)
250w sparkle ps - 2.01 though - no 4 pin - could use adapter or just buy a better one and swap out
room for 3 -5.25 (1 - hidden) and 3 -3.5 (1 hidden ) drive"

And I also feel the same as I stated earlier in this thread,

I ordered one and the nero also. I was considering ordering more but I am afraid to after looking at the resellerratings.
These cases are about the same size as an A/V receiver and being black it will go nicely with all my other equipment. I think this is a much better case for a htpc than most of the small ones that are available. The advantages are that you can use a full size atx board and that it does not take a proprietary psu and it has room for more drives. I like to have 2 dvd drives also, 1 for dumping to the hd and 1 for recording. This case will allow me all of this. It also has a second floppy slot so that I can add usb, firewire, card slot panel and audio jacks to the front panel.
I just hope it comes and not damaged.

I ordered 2 as well and was pleased with the quality and service. It came within a reasonable time, no hassle and the item as well-packaged with no signs of damage. Over-all very happy I ordered and might get 2 more.

It is an OK company to work with. Not everyone can be a NewEgg or an Amazon.

I have yet to have a probelm and have gotten many an incredible deal.
