Cherry Red or Black Switches keyboard

Can anyone suggest a good mechanical keyboard with linear keys i.e cherry red or black under 4.5k.

@OP (and not in a rude way): You should try Google next time first. The first link that comes up for "mechanical keyboard guide" is this result, which gives excellent coverage on switch types and the pros and cons of many keyboards. For a cheaper basic board, I would recommend a Rosewill from Amazon (ironically cheaper than from Newegg); you could step up a budget level and grab a Filco, Ducky, or Das; and for the ultimate keyboard splurge, a Topre.

I also votes for cherry MX red switch. can't go back to another anymore. there are several options from Razer, Steelseries, Gigabyte, CM Storm and more. even Corsair showcases its K95 at CES recently.

I just got a WASD in browns and it is amazing. I will probably always stick with WASD or Filco.

From what I have heard though, CM quickfire rapids use costar parts as well, so that would be another option.

I read one article that said the reds were too light and could cause accidental keypresses but it didn't feel that way when I tried some demo units.

You get used to how you can keep your hands to avoid accidental keypresses. It's hardly a problem, and much better than putting up with rubber domes.
