Chi Chi's Monday Night Football Specials

Our local Chi Chi's (Upstate NY), has a bunch of monday night football specials. 2 tacos for $1, chilli nachos for $1, 1/2 dozen wings for $1. As well as draft specials. And also, all the chips and salsa you can eat for free. I believe it goes from 8 till closing. Is this local or national? A pretty good deal.

Ahhh...I miss Chi Chi's (east coast chain AFAIK). Out here on the W coast we only have Azteca, not quite so hot a deal.

I HATE Chi Chi's food. I went there last summer and they had a sticker on the menu that they had imposed an "electricty charge" of $.50 per entre. I talked to the manager about this and he said that it wasn't for the local business, but it was because the parent company is in California and the money was to help the parent company pay for its electricity increase. I told the manager that there food was terrible anyway (my wife wanted to eat there--she has no taste in food) and that Prandium, Inc (their parent company) would have to pay for their electricity without me. He was amazed that I knew the parent companies name. It was only because I had been given a gift certificate once that was good at any of the Prandium-owned resaurants.

Well, not claiming authenticity but for 50 cents/taco, it beats Taco Bell. =)

mmmm chi-chi's i remember them, they were the ONLY mexican food place growing up in Minnesota, now i am out here in SoCal and i got mexifood everywhere... aaahhh heaven... i used to goto chi-chi's and get their bucket of chips... i bought a commerative 5 gallon tin and had it filled with chips for 2.50 everytime i had a party... mmmmm i want mexican food now
