As far as fast food chicken places go imo: Bojangles(best fast food place ever)>Chick-fil-a(pretty solid)>Popeyes(If I have to)>KFC(gross)

Chick-fil-a has by far the most pleasant staff in fast food, they've somehow cornered the market on high school/college girl employees and they're all super nice. Their places are usually insanely clean too as far as ff goes. I echo the sentiments that I always seem to want it on Sundays.

In-N-Out has a comparable staff to ChikFilA, in terms of the mandated friendliness. No surprise that they also have this religio-cult vibe at the foundation of their business. ChikFilA is more explicit about it, though, and makes sure that you know they are a religion-forward business. You have to do a cursory amount of digging to discover this about In-N-Out.

They are sort of a one trick pony. The classic is just a breaded chicken patty on a bun. I'm a fan of the spicy. The deluxe is the same as classic or spicy but with lettuce and tomato. Nothing fancy. Just a decent cut of chicken deep fried.

They also have salads which are decent portion sizes and look decent. I've never had their wraps.

It's not a fancy place or anything gourmet. Just think of it as a cleaner, nicer McDonalds without burgers.

The standard fried chick sandwich or having it deluxe (lettuce, tomato and cheese) is a good way. If you like spicy, it the above with a spicy filet.

Get some waffle fries and the cole slaw option.

I like the chicken salad sandwiches before they went to the multi-grain bread. Their soup is decent.

oh good summery. It's just chicken sandwiches. but they are good cuts of meat and are really good and not to expensive.

Are they something i will go out of my way for? nope. but if i'm in rockford and its lunch/dinner its one of the places i like to go.

I was just trying to put a bottom end of the spectrum. Chick-Fil-A and Popeyes I would eat if I was after fast food and came across them as they're uncommon enough where I live I don't get them regularly. KFC I avoid, it's nasty. Bojangles though I will go out of my way to get. I ate it like at least once a week in University and still have a soft spot in my heart for it. I'm lucky to have one ~20 minutes from where I live, the most north jangles out there haha. I've driven there just to have it a few times.

I wish I got more West Coast exposure so I could try In-N-Out sometime.

I add mayo and Texas Pete hot sauce to both the sandwich and waffle fries. Spicy chicken is ripoff. Just add the hot sauce packet they have available.

Why would we not compare Chick-fil-a, a restaurant that sells chicken as it's only entree meat for lunch and dinner, (yes, they have other meats for breakfast), to other chicken fast food places? KFC, Church's, Pollo Loco, and Popeyes are also fast food joints. It's not like we're comparing them to some high falootin' place like Denny's.

This guy brings up a good point. The closest Chik-fil-A restaurant is like 26 miles away as compared to KFC which is like less than 5 miles away.

I wonder if it is worth driving 26 miles away to be mind blown? Or just stick with a KFC crispy chicken sandwich for now?

They even have throwaway plastic table cover for babies and small children. Chickfila should be the model for every fast food restaurant. I just wish the company wasn't private so I could buy their stock.

Excellent point too...the place mats for toddlers are awesome little touches that go a long way for parents.

I didn't know they had those mats until a recent visit. Definitely impressed me and made me love the restaurant even more.

CFA's prices are in line with any other FF restaurant. Have you been to whataburger, McD's or Wendy's lately? A value meal will put you around $7-8. And that's w/o upsizing or double meat.

Slow? Are you kidding me? CFA is one of THE fastest FF chains out there. They can get out orders for more people than any other comparable chain. Jimmy Johns might be the only other place that's faster, but they are sandwiches.

...and they almost never mess up my order. I deliberately keep orders as simple as possible. All the other fast food places in my town will screw up anything and everything.

I kinda understand why someone might think CFA is "slow." They're overwhelmingly popular at lunch and breakfast. The drive-thru here wraps around until there's gridlock when no one can get out of the drive thru. This happens multiple times per-day (morning rush, lunch rush, after 5PM rush). Generally, the wait is over by the time you get to place your order. CFA is the most consistently fast around here.
