Where the Boys Aren't 12--the rest are just meh
How about regular Magnolia? It was so god damn boring that I literally cannot stay awake while watching it. I've tried 3 times and I've fallen asleep every time.
Plot summary:
An epic mosaic of several interrelated characters in search of happiness, forgiveness, and meaning in the San Fernando Valley.
Translation:
It's just like Seinfeld if you removed all of the funny parts and made all of the characters unlikable.
Magnolia is fucking amazing. one of the best flicks of the 90s, easily.
also in no way is it a chick flick.
:hmm:
Its been a loong time since I've seen it, but to my recollection, this qualifies.Sleepless in seattle?
I thought about the Notebook last night as well and I came to the conclusion that Rachel McAdams' character made a choice between the rich guy and the poor guy.Maybe the Notebook (although more than one male suitor are relevant in the film she doesn't ever need to choose, she's always destined to the one guy from the outset) - Amazing film.

Yeah, but you don't find this out until the end of the movie.Technically, yes, but the entire film is predicated on the fact that it is a story from the couple, as a couple so as a result any decision she would have made would not have changed the result
Yeah, but you don't find this out until the end of the movie.
Huh? In the movie Titanic, Rose is retelling the story of her time on the Titanic. We know that Rose is a survivor and her rich fiance also survived while Jack died at the end of the movie, but it still means she made a choice. That's true, but like the Matrix, the characters are still in the Matrix, even though at the beginning of the film you don't know what the Matrix is, it doesn't effect the fact that they are in it.

Brokeback Mountain
Sadly, the only one I can think of is Pretty Woman.

If she doesn't choose the girl, that's a very bad movie.Kissing Jessica Stein? Girl has to pick between a girl and a guy.

True that. The worst part about chick flicks is a shocking number of women live their lives as if they're in one.
