2 Drive slots, and best of all, unlike others like this one, it takes a standard ATX psu thats not included, but at this price vs the one from newegg at $90 + Shipping that takes, and comes with a Matx psu, there are alot more choices in standard ATX that will be the best for anything you shove in the box.

I hope to get one some day, maybe 2

Got this in my mail when I went and got my case today:

As an added BONUS we are currently offering an EXTENDED 30 DAY REPLACEMENT WARRANTY on top of our existing standard dealer warranty period to anyone who submits FEEDBACK for our company on their website ordering experience. To leave your feedback please visit the following link within 7 days of purchase:

Its extended, and its free for taking a few moments of your time. I know thats worth me leaving one for them this time around

I searched for this case with Yahoo and found absolutely nothing (not even the vendor you list). I searched with Google and the only thing it found was this thread (already, wow). Did you say this was at Newegg also?

No they have one inda like it at newegg, but it would come with a small ATX psu around $90 + shipping, but with it, imo, if the psu goes out you going to be able to find another 550 one to put back in it that wont break the bank? This one I could at least use any of the atx units I got around, and IMO looks just as good as the other one I wanted at NE anyway, just a huge plus using the standard PSU as I said is the winner for me.

OH and I have bought all kinds of things from this place over the last 4+ years I think its been, never a problem other then one time and not only did they fix the problem but threw in some extras as well.

Not even close.

While the front appearance is different, the case itself does indeed seem to be the same. Look at the rear of the case vs the Ultra. They are identical in the rear. Also, many other features are dead on. I would say that clandren is right in that one is a rebadge (with minor modification) of the front.

Oh, I agree with the standard PSU. I have a 430W Antec model but it isn't modular which would be much better to reduce cable clutter (especially in this case). I'm tempted. I really like the Lian Li (spelling?) at Newegg though (the mATX micro tower case-black brushed aluminum with the drives on the side of the case instead of the front).

OH wow, they made it now to take a regular ATX PSU, that is the other one I was talking about though at NE thats going for close to $100 shipped. I think I like the one I picked out for I dont need a super cheap 400watt PSU. I got the PSU from a guy here at AT, from the before they switched to taking a ful size, was brand new and powered a old 2500+ socket a, one dvd drive, and one hdd, and blew out in less then 3 months, while I have a few I paid like $15 shipped new for thats going on 6-7 years old thats still working to this day in my kids PC's.

I think it looks more like the X-QPack II on the insides, because of that mount for the 80mm fan in the front. I have the old X-QPack, and it's only got the one 120mm fan mount on the back.

Be glad that they don't stick you with a bundled PSU -- the one that the X-QPacks are bundled with are pretty worthless .

Anyways, these make really nice lanboxes. You can stuff a surprising amount of parts in there. I've got a Corsair HX520 in mine and I used to have a 8800GTS in it (so I'm sure that a 8800GT would easily fit, unless it had a tall aftermarket cooler).

This is the identical chassis as the Ultra MicroFly, but with a different face. I currently own an X-Qpack2 and in the past several (3-4) Ultra MicroFlys. You can tell by the front 80mm fan area, three piece cover and the vent in the back between the I/O shields and the 120mm fan. These are clones of the X-Qpack/Chenming versions (I work with someone who used to work for Ultra and was involved in designing Ultra cases). IMO these have inferior ventilation compared to XQP due to lack of venting in the front face and lack of vents in the side panels. Basically there's little venting for air to get IN to the case.

In any case, that's a pretty good case for $60 shipped. Just don't run anything super hot in it unless you vent the case some more.

Pics comparing the chassis:

from funboy's link
Look at the horizontal venting underneath the rear fan.

one of my former MicroFlys
Yes it is running SLI. Ignore that. Look at the venting underneath the rear fan.

My current X-Qpack2
Look underneath the rear fan... solid.

I looked at mATX cases at Fry's today. I think this is a rebadge of that QPack whatever, but for less than half the price, so I'm going to order this. Thanks Funboy!

Is it just me, or is the grill over the 120mm fan less...porous?...on the MicroFly.

What about the two front "metal mesh" strips? Do they not ventilate the case?

Looking at the Qpack specs. vs this case, this case appears to be about 2" deeper. I assume this is for the purpose of adding the full size ATX supply but I could be wrong.

I have ordered from 3Btech in the past. I know that the 16port switch I got from them is still running the network in my house. I don't know if I have gotten anything else from them but the send me emails with specials.

Back on Topic that case does look good and I am now looking at getting one.

Oh, I didn't notice that. It was a major failing with the MicroFly, but looks like this one is better. Maybe I should order one to check out?

The X-Qpack2 fixes this problem by adding a bit of depth.

Though that is nice, for me it is $30+ more for its not shipped at that price, and I like windows, which this one has 2 of.

Hopefully you guys will be nice enough to leave me one there when I get some cash
Please

As nice as this is, I hate windows and that is the single reason for me not to get this. Thanks funboy. I've thought about it and I'll just wait to see what shows up on Black Friday (or something else).

You can always use Linux or aluminum foil.

Sorry, that was bad. :disgust: Ugh, wish this headache would go away.

Less than $10 difference for me including ~17.00 shipping and the 40.00 rebate.

Maybe they just lowered the price by $15? I first looked at it today, so it may have been $15 more yesterday when linked. Maybe now the better choice for those that don't like windows and/or want the removeable mobo tray?
