Got mine today. Definitely Black and aluminum (SPX-02).
Probably the reason Newegg is selling this for $2.00. Pics. Easily fixed with pliers.

I already have one of these. Thinking about buying a second. If you turn it upside down, can it be installed on the right side? Then the case will be see-thru in a few places.

No b/c there's no latch on the other side of the case.
Just tried it. The latch is on the door, but when you try to put it on the other side the latch interferes with the mobo mounting plate, not enough clearance for the latch to engage the flange.

Chieftec Side Panel w/ WindowOriginally posted by: Aznboi64
Link works. Can someone who bought the window give me dimensions. I want to see if it fits my case.
Frame: 19"3/8 x 16"7/8, Physical dimensions: 13x16" including the lock area.
This design is for the mid-tower Chieftec cases only. It will not fit to the full-tower models. It will work with the Dragon DX, Matrix MX, Scorpio SX, and Antec 1030, 1080 series. (4) Yes, this product will fit Antec, Chenming, Uneec, Enermax, ThermalTake, Alienware, and other co-branded cases of the mid-tower design.

I need one that has a fan on it also, does Newegg has this?
Didn't see any, but I believe the window is acrylic if you want to try and cut your own hole.
There are (at least) a couple of ways to do it. One is to put a piece of plywood under it, and clamp it down so it's flat against the plywood (easier to remove from metal first), cut with whatever you have, but make sure it's fine-toothed. The other is to use a Rotary Saw. Either way you'll have a lot of sanding and polishing to do unless you put an edge trim piece around it to hide the edge. oNE possibility for edge trim is automotive edge molding, for example Pep Boys has free shipping for low cost order of stuff like that. Hmmm. Linky no work... goto 1888pepboys.com and search for "edge molding".Originally posted by: virtualgames0

arcrylic is generally not recommened for cutting because it is very weak and will crack easily.
I used a holesaw on the arcrylic window on my lian li, and the window cracked when I barely used any pressure to cut the hole.

I prefer the black of the Chieftech cases to the Charcoal Grey of the Antecs (especially for matching CD/DVD drive color), and they're otherwise very similar, but to each his/her/its own. Mine came in today and matches my case perfectly -- no dings either! Sweet deal.
Did you think it was going to be glass?Originally posted by: SpacemanSpiffVT
sweet deal... goes perfect with my chieftec case
didnt realize it was a acrylic window though, guess its better cause its lighter
i was gonna buy a led to put inside but realized it would just bother me when im sleeping... lol
Well, it's for the mid/full size, 1000 series, right? There's an even larger Antec/Chieftec size case, also called a full tower but is larger, the traditional full-tower size (which is rarer), for which this panel is too small.Originally posted by: MadCowDisease
The Sonata is a mid-tower...this is for the full-tower series of Antec/Chieftec cases...
Not even close. As mentioned already, this is for the older cases made by Chenming and sold as Chieftec, Antec, Enermax, etc.. The Sonata is smaller and the side door attaches differently. It would be like trying to put a Honda Accord door on a Civic.Does this panel fit the Antec Sonata? If it does, does the color match the Antec Sonata? Thanks.
