No b/c there's no latch on the other side of the case.

Just tried it. The latch is on the door, but when you try to put it on the other side the latch interferes with the mobo mounting plate, not enough clearance for the latch to engage the flange.

i thought about getting one for the other side but realized i hide all my stray wiring/lose wiring back there

just gonna be a cheap backup.

First: Thanks to OP for the post. This was a great deal. I ordered one for my black chieftec case.

Second: Like SKORPI0, mine was bent on one of the corners. It's on the bottom and I was able to bend it back so I think it will be ok. I was very disappointed to find that Newegg shipped the panel in the original box (which was not too bad) but they didn't tape it up. They only put the Fedex shipping label over one side. The label appears to have broken during shipping which allowed the box to open up since they didn't tape up the end that opens up. Not good. Newegg can do better than this!

Third: My Chieftec case is steel and not aluminum. Am I going to experience some type of metalic reaction putting this aluminum panel on a steel case?

arcrylic is generally not recommened for cutting because it is very weak and will crack easily.
I used a holesaw on the arcrylic window on my lian li, and the window cracked when I barely used any pressure to cut the hole.

Well.. That was a waste of money for me. The black is not even close to the Antec gray/black. It kind of looks as bad as when someone has a primered door on a car. Anyone that has this on their Antec case must either be blind or really desperate for a side window. The paint texture is awful too. Is the Cheiftec case painted like this? It's like awful overspray on a repainted car. Not even as close to being as nice as the Antec case finish.

That being said, where can I get an Antec case door with the Window. I think having a window on there actually looks kind of cool and I don't care about spending $30 for it. I just wish I had my $7 back now that I spent on this one to put towards it though.

BTW.. My end was bent a little too, but I straightened it out by hand.

I just got mine! It's black is a nice color however it doesn't match my beige case. That's going to be fixed with some spray paint sometime, except it will all be black/silver instead of Beige. Mine wasn't dented and my only hitch is that it seems to attract lots of dust because it generates static electricity easily.

There are (at least) a couple of ways to do it. One is to put a piece of plywood under it, and clamp it down so it's flat against the plywood (easier to remove from metal first), cut with whatever you have, but make sure it's fine-toothed. The other is to use a Rotary Saw. Either way you'll have a lot of sanding and polishing to do unless you put an edge trim piece around it to hide the edge. oNE possibility for edge trim is automotive edge molding, for example Pep Boys has free shipping for low cost order of stuff like that. Hmmm. Linky no work... goto 1888pepboys.com and search for "edge molding".

I prefer the black of the Chieftech cases to the Charcoal Grey of the Antecs (especially for matching CD/DVD drive color), and they're otherwise very similar, but to each his/her/its own. Mine came in today and matches my case perfectly -- no dings either! Sweet deal.

Well, it's for the mid/full size, 1000 series, right? There's an even larger Antec/Chieftec size case, also called a full tower but is larger, the traditional full-tower size (which is rarer), for which this panel is too small.

Not even close. As mentioned already, this is for the older cases made by Chenming and sold as Chieftec, Antec, Enermax, etc.. The Sonata is smaller and the side door attaches differently. It would be like trying to put a Honda Accord door on a Civic.
