I have not heard good things about a Deer PS. Seems many here have had trouble with them. I think they are noisy also. Just passing along things I have heard here at AT.

dump that POS asap and get a real psu!
OK, that is what I really wanted to say, but I was trying to be more tactful. Let's put it this way, if you had a pacemaker installed to your heart and it needed a new battery, would you go for the new version of the Energizer or Duracell batteries or would you install a "K-Mart special" generic alkaline?? No contest I think.

recently got one of these cases and absolutely love it. first thing i did was dump the psu and install my trusty antec 400 watter. haven't tried the deer, but am thinking about using it to run an old 1ghz athlon.

Buy this case with the 420 watt Turbo link power supply. That PS is actually made by Channel Well Technology, makers of the Antec powersupplies. They're solid supplies. I got one that I'm running here myself and it holds the 5v line better than any Enermax PSU I've ever used. I love this thing =).

i just got the cheiftec case with the acrylic window. Deer power supply is quiet and seems to work fine. But as to its long term reliability- thats to be seen. but at the 100 dollars from newegg.com; I am more than satisfied.

thanks for all the fast replies, maybe i'll get that case from directron.com, at least you can upgrade the ps and not wind up paying for two ps units.

I just bought one of the chieftech clones with one of these PSUs in it yesterday, but I originally thought that turbolink just looked cheap. Guess I shouldn't sell it off for 20 bucks, and I should hold on to it Glad to hear good things about it.

Thanks!

BTW, any good news about the cheesy looking "Turbo Cool" clear fans that came in it?

I bought my case from newegg and my PS from directron. can you get just the case from newegg? No mater what, keep an eye out for deals. I just happened to find out about the PS's at directron after reading an article at Virtual-hideout. So I stopped by and found a 470W unit with 3 fans w/gold grill gaurds for $75. It's a ttgi unit, it runs great. no problem swhat so ever.
