as stated above, it's a channel well technologies psu, and a good one. this is a good deal on a great case (mine's without the door). on a related note, does anyone know where this psu can be purchased seperately?
no sense buying 1 seperately-even if you could find 1 it would probally be close to what there asking for the case and ps, the main reason I'm wondering about the pots is cause on another thread here there was a company selling ps that was labeled cwt420 but was a different model than this.
The power supply in the other thread was a Turbolink CWT420ATX, (like I tried to explain to them numerous times) . This power supply from newegg is a Channel Well CWT420 ATX, and it has great specs.
I don't know if I'd spend $87 shipped for this Chieftech when I can get a bona fida Antec 1030B elsewhere for $94 shipped. That's with both cooling fans and an Anteck PS....in IBM black. Now for 400W and $87, I'd be all over this.
Am I reading the Newegg website right? It looks like it changed. Today it shows the DX-01WD in beige with the 420 watt PS for $69 plus shipping, a $10 drop from yesterday? It says it compares to the Antec SX1040. It calls it a hot deal available only thru 3/1. If so, the deal just got hotter.
Looks like the charcoal is $97 shipped and the beige $87 shipped w/CWT420 psu. It says the beige is special price 'til 03/01. That's a very good deal on either one.
Anyone who purchased going to try to get a price adjustment? I ordered just this morning at 8:20 A.M., and they changed the price less than an hour later. Tried calling them at 2:00 P.M. PST, and got a message saying they're closed. How odd...
The Charcoal Black 420 Watt case came down $6 from $85 to $79. I think the reason for the Beige drop to $69 is that it probably doesn't sell as well as the Black or Charcoal. I finally decided to order one of the Charcoal 420 Watt cases. Hopefully they don't start to offer them in Black in the next few weeks.
This is a great deal. Just bought one myself and wanted to say thanks for bringing it to my attention. I was very close to buying an Antec SX1040B on Provantage but saved $35 by going this route. Thanks again .
