Child's Play is a children's hospital charity founded by Gabe & Tycho of Penny Arcade. The goal is to show that gamers are caring people not GTA thugs, and to help a lot of sick kids take their minds off of a scary hospital stay with books, toys and games.
We aren't taking any money here, you go to the official Child's Play page, pick a hospital, and start buying whatever toys and games you want from an Amazon.com gift registry (buy new only and don't wrap items).

Once you've made a donation, post a message here to boast of your santa-ness and PM me, or just PM me if you want to be anonymous. I'll update the tote board at least a couple of times a day, be patient since I'm supposed to be working
Buying Tips - get Amazon to donate more too! (Amazon also gives referral money to Child's Play)
- don't buy used items, hospitals need clean, new, germ-free items
- don't pay for gift wrap, they need the items unwrapped
- DO spend $25 and buy from Amazon so you get free shipping, the hospitals need the toys year-round so they don't need to arrive by xmas!
- Books, look for the buy-4-get-1-free deals (buy 4 $10 books, be charged only $30 and they ship free!)
- if Amazon charges you tax, they won't charge it if you support a hospital in a different state
- The gift registries show some items added in 2007, Hospitals DO still want these items they just kept the listing from last year instead of deleting and re-adding
- PayPal takes their normal of 0.30 + 2.9% cut so if you donate $15 they grab 0.75.
- charity tax ID numbers for hospitals are listed on the left side of the page at amazon if you itemize deductions
