Pretty crazy stuff. Makes me happy to live in a small city and not really crazy about travel. Though it's scary how fast stuff like this can spread due to so many people traveling everywhere all the time. My city is less than an hour away from Toronto, it's not that far fetched for it to end up even here via people or just supplies being loaded on planes, or the planes themselves. Honestly have to give kudos to medical workers, infection control workers etc since it's not easy trying to contain this stuff with people flying in and out of all sorts of 3rd world countries all the time. Ebola was a bad one too but they were able to contain it quite well considering the severity of it.

This stuff still makes me want to live in a cabin in the woods though (kinda my dream anyway). I can have as much contact with the world as I want but if shit hits the fan at least I have a safe area to just stick to. Though we have ticks here now, so I'm not exactly safe from deadly diseases even out there. We'll see how things are this summer though, maybe the tick issue was a one time thing last summer.

It's not like the Chinese just started eating bats and rats. So I don't really buy that this virus started at the wild animal food market. There's supposed to be two China bio-warfare research labs in Wuhan. How do we know if this isn't some bio-warfare virus experiment gone wrong that somehow escaped the lab? It's not like China will ever admit to that. It's like China knows something we don't. I didn't see this kind of panic and action from China during SARS or bird-flu virus.

Did you completely miss Bird Flu/SARS? They had similar origins. Your own reason for doubting it is actually a reason for giving it more credibility.

Yeah they do some pretty crazy stuff food wise. Not only is some of it cruel as hell but it's just nasty. There's one where they deep fry half a fish, and eat it while it's still alive. The head part is not deep fried only the tail part, so they eat that. They also skin animals alive, and there's even this one thing where they eat a monkey's brain while it's alive (knocked out though). They basically lock it into a table where just the head sticks out.

That particular video is fake apparently, but it's a re-enactment.

North America does not exactly have a clean record when it comes to animal welfare but it's not as bad as some of the stuff they do in places like China. China is not the only place they do crazy stuff though. Philippines is pretty bad too.

Well I also don't remember this kind of panic and action from China during SARS which supposedly had far higher mortality rate once infected. Coronavirus supposedly has 3% mortality rate and they're panicking and quarantining 56 million people and 18 cities? China is building 2 new hospitals for cornavirus patients in a week. Does this sound normal to you. I don't remember China doing any of this during the outbreak of SARS which had far higher mortality rate. SARS mortality rate was supposedly like 15%. That's insanely high. Yet China is doing all this for virus with 3% mortality rate?

Hong Kong is supposedly closing schools for 2 weeks. That's pretty extreme for potential virus. US and Russia is flying in emergency evacuation planes to Wuhan this weekend to get its citizens out. Again, that sounds extreme and I don't remember any country doing that for SARS which was supposedly far deadlier. China, US, Russia governments knows something they're not telling us. The type of actions being taken by these governments don't seem right for 3% mortality rate virus.

I don't believe the government 3-4% morality rate for the coronavirus. That's BS given the level of government panic and response. I think this coronavirus actual mortality rate is higher than even SARS. It's the only explanation that makes sense to me.
