A forum member here said something that I think perfectly illustrates China's position with respect to the United States, so allow me to quote him:
"If you owe the bank $1 million, that's your problem. If you owe the bank $1 billion, that's the bank's problem."
In other words, China needs us more than we need them.
I see your point is true in terms of an economic sense where the free people of the US will always be able to command an economic presence as consumers of goods of fairly complex technology.
The greater problem in this assumption arises when it comes to the denudation of the personal financial capacity of an American in terms of being a consumer in their own individual capacity.
So what if Father China extends unlimited credit to Mother America in terms of manufacturing credits?
So what if it is true that free Americans at a basic level are being deprived of basic industries which help keep their civilization at a level of sustenance with an appropriate level of technological understanding?
This is the reason of the huge unemployment in the US too. The U.S is depending on China to provide it basic sustenance in terms of consumer goods production. This is a very disturbing evolution of the hierarchy of Mother America in my books. Remember the Soviet Union could produce ICBMs, but not a single factory which made toothpaste as a societal chemical to keep russian teeth clean.
Remember even if you refuse to buy chinese goods someday, China will still have the capacity to produce such goods for its own citizens and none of you as an American despite all the credits you advance to it. I'm an Indian, but I debate in such terms of logic and Hierarchy as an Universal Human Being.
You know I speak the truth. The truth is that your politicians and plutocrats sold your civilization out for greater profits.
