WTF, what kind of parent lets a 19 month old todder play with a toy like this? Regardless of whether it is toxic or not, you are GUARANTEED that your child is going to be swallowing these things.
I tell my son not to put things in his mouth and generally he adheres to this rule but you can't watch your children 24/7 and kids do put stuff in their mouths. These dots are very small though and I can see how it would be very easy to swallow one if you're a young child and prone to putting stuff in your mouth-and a lot of children are. I don't think it's too much to ask that they make children's toys out of stuff that won't kill you if you accidentally swallow it.
They've been marketing this product heavily on all the kids networks. I can't tell you how many times I've seen the commercials for this...it's got to be hundreds of times literally.
if they had painted those parts with some nice lead paint, the adhesive would have been sealed in where it couldn't convert itself to GHB. problem solved
