Will china become an expansionist power? Is it already?
your thoughts on this.
Has been for 5000 years or something like that. Will they resume where they left off a couple hundred years ago? Hopefully not.
For thousands of years, Chinese emperors have always thought of China as the center of the universe. They look at things from the outside as inferior and barbaric. In fact about 500 years ago, during the Ming Dynasty, there was a Chinese fleet led by Zheng He, that sailed around the Atlantic, made contacts/traded with various nations, but the emperor thought those nations were inferior and didn't want anything to do with them. So he ordered the giant fleet to be dismantled and all records of the voyage destroyed. Later during the Qing Dynasty, China gave land to foreign countries.
So history proves that China was never an expansionist nation, rather it has always been a nation with a superiority complex.
