China is dedicated enough to make it on their own without the U.S. Just look at rare earth metals. China is pretty much the only one in the business (90%) because they have an abundance of slave labor and can supress the profitability of mining rare earth minerals that no one else can do it.

How is it that when the US was becoming a Superpower, it was a perfectly OK. Yet, when another nation is becoming a Superpower, it's the end of the fucking world?

Our time has passed or is well on it's way to pass. And, I am glad. I don't want our men and women policing the world. I don't want us shoveling billions in foreign aid to countries that hate us. I don't want us to 'spread' democracy. Let the other nations that want our model of modern civilization earn and bleed for it. Democracy is not a product or service package you can offer or sell to another nation. Democracy is built, where it wants to be built, because it represents the people.

Anyway,.. look at the UK - they were all over the planet at some point. Now, they no longer are. Are they now living in caves? Are they enslaved? Are they poor? Nope. They are doing (for the most part) just fine. So, I can't figure out where this fear of no longer being a Superpower is coming from.
