Hi all, I'm partly amused and partly disturbed by this quote (pulled from the article above),

?We are opposed to the disregard of principles of international law in launching armed operations or violence under the pretext of anti-terrorism which infringes on the state sovereignty of others,? said Xue, deputy director of the Crime Investigation Department at the Ministry of Public Security.

.....does anyone else see this a hypocritical and bigoted statement? So...what they're basically saying, is that IF Taiwan resorts to terrorist attacks on mainland China, then China won't mess with Taiwan anymore? What a load of crock.

Taleban is not the recognised government of Afganistan, the Northern Alliance is. So sovereignity of Afganistan is not infringed if USA gets permission from NA (and you bet they will give permission for USA to whoop Taleban ass!).

Yeah, we shouldn't advocate starting anything with China, but all I'm trying to say is that their rhetoric is totally ludicris. But, it's kinda funny with the interaction between the US and China lol. It's like an overly dramatic soap opera, and we all know that China really has no spine at all, so all this pompous talk is really quite laughable.

Oh btw, China is interventionalist too...or they tried to be...ie Vietnam.

And to bomberman, I don't think China recognizes the sovereignty of Afghanistan either. Besides Pakistan, there are only two other states that recognizes Afghany sovereignty, and I'm pretty sure that those other two states are minor.
