Chinese Americans support Trump

I posted something about Asian Americans voting GOP a little while back. This is not surprising, they seemed to be the highest GOP voting group.

I don't understand Asian Americans who go along and support line jumpers. My family has had to wait over a decade for some of us to come over. OTOH a latino just needs to find a Coyote and thanks to the current administration's policies, will never worry about being deported.

Asian Americans actually overwhelmingly vote Democratic.

This is correct, I agree you with you.

However, if you look at the demographics that vote GOP, Asian Americans seem to be leading the pack in minorities that vote GOP.

I was about to change my opinion on Asian-American voters until I read further.

Well I'm sure fairly rich Asian Americans and there are quite a few have reason to vote Republican and they have always done so. Think doctors, engineers, etc.

However not everyone is high income and, especially now and with all this xenophobic sentiment that Trump and his followers bring.. I know 22 people who live on my block who have never voted, are not US born, but have been here for decades. They'll all vote against Trump.

P.S. I'm an Asian American too, not that it should matter.

However, if you look at the demographics that vote GOP, Asian Americans seem to be leading the pack in minorities that vote GOP.

I mean sort of, it's more like they vote for Democrats in slightly less overwhelming numbers. In fact in 2012 Asians voted for Obama by a greater margin than hispanics. (73% vs 71%). I think when you get into margins of around 50 points in some ways it's hard to really describe them as 'voting GOP'.

Yeah, I have a feeling this is like Trump was #1 in AZ Hispanics. I read the math worked out like a really small sample of total voters because of the Caucus set up, then a really small fragment of Republican Hispanics which worked out to be around 48 Hispanics voting in the Republican caucuses and 34 of them voted Trump. Thus Trump is #1 with Hispanics in AZ!!!!
