They CIA crack me up....

I remember one day on TV I saw this program on the Cold War espionage. Some pretty interesting stuff. Like the Reds put bugs in the concrete of the american embassy and some little school girls gave them flowers that had transmitters inside and it took the americans like 7 years to discover it. LOL.

I guess they figured they couldn't try ramming a fighter into this plane and then blaming it on us.

How do you know it was the CIA or even the US government? Did the bugging devices have made in the USA stamped on them?

The plane was constructed in the US, so unless some foreign government/organization is involved, it must be some american organization.

Besides, the CIA denied being involved. If they were not involved, they would have admitted they had done it

I'm sorry, but I have a difficult time believing that our intelligence agencies would believe the Chinese are either so stupid or incompetent that they would not do a very comprehensive sweep for such devices before putting the aircraft into service, nor that if they were inclined to use such instruments, they would be stupid enough to use devices that would emit as much EMI as it would require to cause a "whine" during test flights, and I'm not so sure "highly advanced" devices of this type WOULD emit that much EMI. It all sounds so...improbable and fantastic if you ask me (much as communist propaganda goes).

After all, it was the Chinese who claimed a nimble jet fighter was out-maneuvered by a slow, bumbling, plane the size of a commercial airliner. Duh.

Boeing's president on the phone to china:
"No no no... those microphones plugged into that bright orange tape recorder are not bugs, they're the voice data recorders!"

If you read the article it says that the plane was bought from Delta airlines and was gutted. A contractor put in the interior and the plane was under surveillance by Chinese officials. You never know they could have done it themselves. I wouldn?t put it past the Chinese government to spy on itself.

<< Why don't they make their own damn planes? >>

Stupid question, considering globally, there are only two companies building jumbojets. In the future, they (and possibly other nations) could buy Airbus instead, which indirectly costs U.S. jobs at Boeing.
