And of course so do Americans indirectly.

A sign on the wall reminds them of their expendability in a nation with hundreds of millions of surplus workers: "If you don't work hard today, tomorrow you'll have to try hard to look for a job."
I'm sure Bush would love to see that sign at your workplace. He would be sooo happy.

Somehow an employer wanting employees that actually work is a bad thing? Not that I agree with China's policies or walmart.

The little jab at bush is funny but it also shows that he is defeating you. I love pushing people's button's to show how little self control they have. Is Bush pushing yours?

"We have to constantly cut costs to satisfy Wal-Mart."

More than 80 percent of the 6,000 factories in Wal-Mart's worldwide database of suppliers are in China.

Wal-Mart's vast appetite for Chinese imports has placed it at the center of a sharp debate over whether the influx of low-cost products from China is good for Americans.

Beautiful, are you paying attention America?

80% of Walmart's eggs are in the one China Basket.

America, all you need to do is boycott Walmart and they are done.

so... answer this question for me,

"How does Wal-mart's business practice help our nation economically or China socially?".

Very simple. Americans can buy things at very cheap prices, and China has lots of jobs to help mitigate staggering unemployment. Because if the unemployment were worse there might be the potential for the Chinese people to overthrow their somewhat oppressive Communist government, and no American would ever wish for that to occur.

Any company using communist labor is supporting communism.
This is just as bad to me as if walmart contracted out to companies in germany using prison camp labor to manufacture back in the '40s.
Why is this allowed?

because there is a demand by the US consumer for cheap stuff. the blame belongs to all the cheap people who spend thier money at wal-mart they demand the stuff. also blame the communist government they work for, who is actually to blame for poor conditions more than anyone.

besides if they did not have a job making cheap stuff for YOU to buy at wal-mart they would have even less money.

want to support you local mom and pop store? then SPEND YOUR MONEY THERE, moral support does not pay the bills.

More and more I am making a conscience effort to buy local and buy American....I buy my meat from a local butcher show....I even asked if their meat was American.

I read labels on products....Made in USA is my first priority...I also like any aspect that is done in american including assembled or source material originating in America.

I drive an American car. Great Quality too.

I know all things I buy won't be made in the USA, but I check labels.

And I try.
