You were implying that we live in the middle of nowhere if we have to drive that far. It could not be further from the truth, but you STILL think you have a point.

There are many authentic options in-town and much closer than Chipotle. Not sure what kind of genius thinking it takes to conclude that there aren't based on Chipotle's proximity.

Face it: Your assumption was wrong and your point failed.

Wait. So you're going back to the "not authentic Mexican = TASTES BAD!" argument again? Jesus. It's like talking in circles with you haters. We've already established that this is not a valid avenue of criticism. DROP IT, FFS.

You do live middle of nowhere. Like pretty much all major cities, southside is the ghetto.

You know I used to hate on Pappasitos but I recently went there with a client for lunch and the food was awesome! I was very surprised. Another great chain up in Dallas is Uncle Julio's, best salsa I have ever had.

I went to it once and thought it was very average. I like Pappadeaux so I gave it a shot. It reminded of the Cheesecake Factory. Large portions but very bland taste.

Except that the Chipotle we went to was *gasp* ALSO on the south side.

No one said Chipotle was only on the north side. All I said was the south side is the ghetto. I grew up near Morrow so I know how much of a dump south side is. You only have to look at the average income for the area.

I love when people don't even read the articles they send, look at the part under Mexico

the wheat flour tortilla was an innovation after wheat was brought to the New World from Spain while this region was the colony of New Spain. It is made with an unleavened, water based dough, pressed and cooked like corn tortillas.

We're not talking about Aztec / Mayan food. We're talking about the advent of this Mexican/Latino/Spanish food.

Corn tortilla is something else. Just another kind of tortilla that pre-dates flour tortillas. Corn tortillas are something I absolutely DO NOT WANT on my Chipotle burrito.

No, you butted in to a conversation and tried to steer it that way. How is "south side = ghetto" the point that I was countering? Here. I'll even quote it for you:

Jeezus, I knew it must suck to live in Georgia, but I didn't realize it sucked THAT bad.

I don't see where he says anything like that. According to you, his point was that all of Georgia = Southside Metro = Ghetto. Sorry if I refuse to follow that train of "logic."

Now, before you ignorantly say it again, how is Newnan ("The City of Homes") or Peachtree City (often listed in the top 10 places to live in the country) "ghetto?"

The problem with chipotle is the quality of your burrito 100% depends on the disposition of the meat person.

When I walk into chipotle the first place I go is to the front of the line to see who the meat person is and how big the portions they are giving. Usually the people who give the biggest portions are either not paying attention, don't care about their job, or are just kinda clumsy/stupid. Go for that. If you are attractive, try to find a meat person of the opposite sex. Try to distract them when they make the first scoop; once people make a decision, even if that decision is wrong and you got too much steak, they won't change it.

The other problem is retards that can't fold a tortilla.

Lmao. Distract the meat person into giving you a human size portion of meat? That's a good one.

I read some employee horror stories about this place and they said if you just ask for more they have to give it to you. No questions asked. But then they get in trouble later on from their manager for giving extra portions. Go figure.

From Wiki, Newnan, GA. Population 33,039.

The median income for a household in the city was $36,142, and the median income for a family was $43,243. Males had a median income of $36,786 versus $25,314 for females. The per capita income for the city was $19,081. About 17.6% of families and 19.7% of the population were below the poverty line, including 29.1% of those under age 18 and 18.1% of those age 65 or over.

Johns Creek, GA. Population 76,728.

Johns Creek's 2010 demographics showed an estimated $109,576 median household income, a $137,271 average household income and a $45,570 per capita income.

LOL! You are comparing a small suburban town hundreds of years old to an urban one with enough wealth and prosperity to incorporate itself within a metro area in 2006. Populations center around wealth and prosperity, so comparing a centuries-old small town with 33K population to one that established itself 9 years ago practically in the middle of Atlanta with it's affluent 77K population is apples to oranges. So, if it isn't affluent top 10%-ers, it's "ghetto?"

Uncle Julio's is nation wide (well, sort of). There are two in Chicago and it is the best Mexican food around here, which is lacking. Their tortillas are awesome.

That's right. Waiting in line for 10+ minutes is part of the Chipotle experience. Every one I've been to is so popular, it's very rare to find a reasonably short line that doesn't wrap around be whole restaurant.

It's all about going at the right time of day here. Something like 2PM works a lot better than 6PM. When the line is empty they're about as fast as you can get.

I'm always curious to know exactly what this "super Mexican" food is when people say that whatever version of Mexican someone seems to like comes up.

I have like five places to choose from here, at least three of which are staffed almost exclusively by people who clearly do not speak English as a first language and I find the food mediocre at best.

So, start naming places or posting reviews or I call bullshit.

La Taqueria won 538's survey...

But I think Cancun is better.
