So... do you get that much cheese by asking for more, or is that the default at your Chipotle?
that's default cheese + light sour cream. I can't in good faith NOT get free sour cream and cheese, even though I know the healthier option is to go w/o them.
Not to mention the better tasting option, no sour cream.
this "horrendously overpriced" meal cost me a whopping $2.23/taco, for a total of $6.70 and 880 calories.
Del Taco? THE Del Taco? With the Double Del Cheeseburger?
Del Taco is definitely a decent value, but I seriously can't comprehend how you could prefer it to Chipotle. You're saying if you were offered a free Chipotle burrito or a free Classic beef/chicken burrito from Del Taco, you're choosing the latter?
I mean it's all personal taste obviously, but they are worlds apart in my opinion.
I'll be honest, those look pretty good. I may have to try those out.this "horrendously overpriced" meal cost me a whopping $2.23/taco, for a total of $6.70 and 880 calories.

Yup I much prefer hard shell tacos over soft. A great hard shell automatically makes the taco better. I'll pick these up on Friday after work.hard shell tacos, chicken, fajita veggies, white rice. topped with medium salsa, light sour cream, cheese, hot salsa on the side.
this is the benchmark for chicken tacos - sure there may be some mom & pop's who do it better (usually bbq chicken specialists w/ giant mesquite wood setups), but these chipotle chicken tacos are better than most.
i dunno man, it's the hard shell tacos + chicken combination that works for me - the shells give it the necessary textural contrast that's missing in the bowl/salad/burrito configurations, and I find the chicken way more flavorful then Chipotle's steak, barbacoa, or carnitas.
I just have to eat about 100 more of those hard shell tacos in the next 11 weeks - no problem.

Those are good but you can get those anywhere. A really good fried shell puts any taco over the top.I like both, a good quality Carnitas soft taco, double corn tortilla are way yummy.

...the fuck? I've had the Fritos burrito from TB a few times. I can't imagine how this could be true.Taco Hell's Fritos Burrito has more flavor than the burrito I tried at Chipotle back when it opened near me. Even the flatbread steak and chicken sammich has Cipotle SAUCE.
The Beefy Crunch Burrito, however, I quite enjoy, and will be sad when it's gone again (it has the Flamin' Hot Fritos in it).Creamy Chipotle Sauce: Soybean oil, water, vinegar, egg yolk, chipotle peppers, contains 1% or less of sugar, roasted garlic, xanthan gum, chili peppers, natural flavor (including smoke flavor), potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate (P), propylene glycol alginate, garlic powder, onion powder, oleoresin paprika, calcium disodium EDTA (PF), canola and sesame seed oil

Maybe the appeal is the cocaine additives.
