A properly fried tortilla won't break apart in the 1st bite. Not a store bought already hard taco shell pack tortilla, but a freshly fried shell owns when done right. And for something like Taco de Papas a soft shell would be absolutely horrible. Same for a ground beef taco. I love a good ground beef taco, and in a soft shell they just aren't nearly as good imho.

Ran into my coworkers who are trading off days on their chiptopia card - they too have the same end-goal, free catering for the team.

based on my local city tax rate, I need to eat 24 entrees @ $7.30 ($175.20) to get 33 entrees + $240 worth of catering ($480). sounds like an awesome deal to me.

Well, had visit 2 today, but the receipt only shows it's my first visit. Maybe they didn't swipe my card the first time. I'll have to check the receipt when I get home, then responsibly raise hell

Unfortunately visit 3 didn't go as planned. Took my receipts in from visit 1 and 2 and asked them to add visit 1 onto my Chiptopia card. They told me that's impossible but to try using the "talk to us" link on the Chiptopia website. I left without ordering.

I don't plan to continue if they jip me out of a visit that should have counted.

Do you hate this because of the mayo or the chic-fil-a? I don't like mayo either, but chic-fil-a is great. Their biscuits are made fresh every morning so their breakfast is pretty good too.

hard shell tacos, chicken, fajita veggies, white rice. topped with medium salsa, light sour cream, cheese, hot salsa on the side.

this is the benchmark for chicken tacos - sure there may be some mom & pop's who do it better (usually bbq chicken specialists w/ giant mesquite wood setups), but these chipotle chicken tacos are better than most.

i dunno man, it's the hard shell tacos + chicken combination that works for me - the shells give it the necessary textural contrast that's missing in the bowl/salad/burrito configurations, and I find the chicken way more flavorful then Chipotle's steak, barbacoa, or carnitas.

I just have to eat about 100 more of those hard shell tacos in the next 11 weeks - no problem.

weird, i find the chicken to be the most bland. barbacoa is the best.


i'm at 2 so far, both bowls. going on vacation for a bit over a week later this month, so i'll be eating chipotle every other day for the rest of this month when not on vacation. tacos to go for dinner, i guess. beans and salsa on the side so as not to soggy it up?

...the fuck? I've had the Fritos burrito from TB a few times. I can't imagine how this could be true.

the real frito burrito is one of the best fast food things ever made. taco meat + fritos + cheese + an extra squirt of taco bell hot sauce. basically a frito pie in a tortilla. if your TB has the chili-cheese burrito and fritos they can make one.

And that "chipotle sauce" at Taco Bell is straight-up nasty.
