What cooler do you guy recommend for a chipset, the one on the Abit NF7-S V2.0 is way too loud, any passive ones that are up to snuff on overclocked nForce2 chips?

Stick one of these big suckers on there without the fan. Needs some modification though to put screws through it, but it works and is cheap.

If you don't feel like using a bandsaw and drill press on anything (to make it fit the motherboard; I have the same one), check out the Zalman heatsinks at SVC or Bestbyte. I honestly can't say how any of them perform - all of the heatsinks on my motherboard are home-made or modified. The northbridges are cooled with those heatsinks above, and the rest of the parts (voltage regulators and southbridge) are cooled with 486/586 heatsinks I sliced up with a bandsaw. Cheap and effective.

How would a Dremel tool work to cut one of those?
It cuts like butter through my steel case so I imagine that would work too...

Actually, couldn't I just instead of screwing put thermal adhesive on it?
Like Arctic Silver Alumina Thermal Adhesive...it's 60 mm square?
That seems large but the bigger the better I suppose as long as it fits.....

Thanks for that suggestion, wow, what a bargain, 1 buck for a heatsink with a fan included, I will be sure to take up that offer, and if for some reason the fan doesn't work, heh, I still pretty much get my dollars worth....

That?s a crazy deal.

From the picture it looks like a pretty high quality heat sink, not to mention the Nidec fan. Nidec make very high quality fans, none of the cheap crap you see on retail boards.

Those 60mm heatsink/fans are an interesting buy for a buck, but shipping (to Michigan) is $6.00 for one, $7.12 for 4 of them. If you can really make use of these, still not a bad price for more than one...
