Last year I have out 100g Dark Toblerone bars for halloween, and I'd like to do something similar this year. I want to keep the cost ~$2/bar, and I want it to be interesting. Something good that the kids may not have had before, and is decent quality. I might just do the Toblerone again, but wanted to see if there was anything else out there at the stated cost. I look when I think to, but most of the chocolate gets a bit too pricey, or is crap.

That's not off the table. I love KitKats, but would prefer something not found everywhere. I kind of want something a little more sophisticated, to say "Hey kid, life can be better than average". I also want a full size at minimum, cause fuckin' full size!! :^D

Kind of hard at my stated price point. I was surprised to find the Toblerone as cheap as I did, at Wegmans no less. Toblerone isn't super amazing, but it's better than average, and favors subtlety over flavor explosion.

Or go to lindt outlet. I think I saw 150 lindor for 43 or smething like that. Get some celophane and get wrapping. Two bux is about six of them. You pick the flavours.

That's not a bad idea. I've been fixated on chocolate, but a chew could be cool. Instead fruit though, I could go with ginger. Gin-Gins are really good. Interesting, but still accessible to kids.

Those honey stingers are pretty good, I use them as energy bars when riding my bike. But for something that style and way more cool is to get actual Stroopwaffles. Amazon has them in bulk as well. Different flavors too.

Stroopwaffles is a good idea too. Just looked on amazon, and they have big boxes of individually wrapped waffles.

I like Aldi brand chocolate bars like Choceur and Moser Roth. It's cheap and good.

I agree, but if I remember right, they're a bit out of my price range, and no way to get a bulk discount. I'll probably be going this weekend, and I'll check again.

I found this on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/RITTER-SPORT-Individual-Display-Count/dp/B003TF6BXS

scroll down and there is an 84 unit box of minis for about $35.
I checked out Amazon. Ritter's in the lead now. I'll get the big bars if I go that route. I don't get a whole lot of kids here, and the houses are far enough apart that they have to work for their loot, so I kind want the work to pay off.

I love halloween, and the fact that it's dying is mildly distressing. It's the last pagan holiday that wasn't co-opted by the Christians, so to help keep it going, and pay back the fun I had as a kid, I want to do better than average for the prize :^)

I know the feeling.

I loved Halloween and all the goodies. It was sad watching it slowly die due to a maturing neighbourhood.

That makes no sense. An actual stroopwaffle could have posted something more intelligent
What makes no sense? That kids don't want stroopwafels for Halloween? I thought that was pretty clear. I can have my toddler explain it to you, if you'd like.

And I love stroopwafels, but I expect kids would rather get typical chocolates and candy.
