chocolate pudding

I think there is something wrong with the pudding! God help me if I fail in trying to make chocolate pudding. The directions seemed easy enough. Something just doesn't seem right. I'm letting it cool, and I wanted some NOW so I poured it all in a big cup and stuck it in the freezer and packed some ice around it. I think it is turning into a big chunk of pudding though. I let the left over sit out and i stir it every now and then and it's getting chunky like. Dammit i'm 21 please don't tell me I can't make chocolate pudding!

BigDan the gourmet chef sez: get yourself one of those big girly balloon-whisk things and stir it while it's cooking (or every 2 minutes if you microwave it). The little woman loves my chocolate pudding. For gods sake, don't overcook it, it'll turn all nasty.

Well the chocolate pudding is uhh... well it's edible! It's kinda chunky... and doesn't really look very chocolatey but I'll eat it.

Hey I did exactly what the box said and it SUCKED! Maybe it was the microwave?

I was j/k about the milk But yes, the microwave probably isn't the best for making pudding, though if you do like suggested above (whisk it at intervals as microwaving) it would probably be OK. Pudding is best when constantly stirred when making it on stove top.

I did whisk it every 2 minutes while microwaving it. I think it was either microwaved too long or the microwave just sucks.

Never ever use the miccrowave to make pudding.
