Choosing the right 2.1 speakers

I?m trying to find a good set of 2.1 speakers. I?ve found 6 sets worth considering:

Altec Lansing 2100
Creative I-Trigue 3200
Creative Inspire T3000
Logitech Z-3
Logitech X-230
Logisys SP6001

Among these, price isn?t a consideration, only sound quality. By the way, I will be using these mostly to play music of basically all genres, so I don?t want to end up with a system geared only towards a single genre, or only geared towards gaming.

I?ve read tons of reviews (both on reputable sites and consumer review sites like Newegg, Amazon, etc.) about each one and they all basically say the same thing: this is a good system for the price, etc., etc.. Occasionally someone will complain about the 2100?s midrange or something like that, but it?s not consistent enough to notice. It?d be nice if I could find a site that reviews more than one of them, but no luck thus far.

The specs are basically identical, as any search shows, and the prices all run $40-70. If anyone has some suggestions regarding which system(s) are best, I?d really appreciate them.

Thanks for the advice, but those are a bit out of my price range.

For the extra punch in power which some Music requires...You might want to scarf up the extra $10 and go with Bucksnort's reccomendation but beware with any/most speaker setups the pleasure is in the individuals hearing so if possible go to the a retai place to hear yor selection although the acoustics may not be desireable...side by sde comparisons will be pretty much the same

Altec ATP-3 or the newer version of the same (VS-4121). One could easily do much worse for a lot more money.

altec lansing fx6021!!!! it makes my itrigue 3500 sound like a lil girl

but out of ur list, I'd say the Z3, I got my creative for the looks mostly, but sound reproduction wise, logitech Z3 is better than similar priced altec lansing and creative

also beware many altec lansing subwoffers are not shielded (not all of em, but i'm not sure which ones)
