I recently picked up an Evo Shift. I like it for the most part but I'm encountering an issue that is pretty much a deal breaker unless I can get it resolved.
I cannot smoothly stream the music from my Amazon Cloud Player. When I go to play a song, it might take up to 30 seconds before it starts playing. And then it might play for 10-15 seconds before it stops for another 15-30 seconds to download more of the song (at least I assume that's what it's doing). I thought that if I let my phone choppily play through a song once, that it might be cached and the next time I listened to it there would be no streaming gaps, but that has not been the case.
This is all on 3G. 4G doesn't seem to work where I live and I don't have Wi-Fi in the home.
I can use Pandora all day without a song streaming poorly on me.
I guess what I'm asking here, is what is the culprit? I don't know enough about cellular tech and mobile networks to figure this out. Is it Sprint? Is it the app? Is it a setting that I cannot find?
Just trying to understand the problem. Thank you.
