When I power on my computer, everything works fine but if it comes out of stand by, I get choppy video and flash playback. I run my desktop on 24" monitor with 1920X1200 resolution. Even scrolling web pages get all choppy and slow.
Example: I go to GameTrailers.com to watch HD videos, they run around 5-10 fps while CPU is running at 50-60% capacity. My PC is fairly clean with no junk running in the background and I even reinstalled OS with latest Catalyst drivers but that didn't help.
My desktop PC is a self built machine with following spec:
Win XP Pro 64 bit, AMD Atholon 2,000+ dual core, 2GB memory, ATI Radeon 512MB X1650 with 400Mhz video card, GeForce61M2 mother board.
Do you think I should replace my video card and get something better since I am using such high res setting? Or is it motherboard or CPU or memory?
Appreciate any feedback. Thanks.
