You have already probably said more than you should have. I will be curious to hear the whole story once it's over, in any case.

Surprised the OP would get on a jury with his biased/slanted view points.

so you don't subscribe to innocent until proven guilty....interesting.
no I have a strong ability to listen to two sides of argument before forming a judgement.
Haha. Case in point:

that doesn't make any sense. Obviously you can't serve on a jury if you don't believe people are innocent until proven guilty. That is a primary requirement of being on a jury.
Hahaha. I'm still trying to come up with the twisted logic that you used to come to this.
the internet isn't real life.

I was in one of the 12 jury seats for a murder trial, but the defense lawyer asked that I be dismissed during jury selection since I didn't agree that a criminal's testimony should carry the same weight as a cop's.

So, we're all just figments of your imagination?
Yeah, the grief stricken loved ones and having gruesome evidence presented to you and all the associated minutia would be a hoot.
Anyone else get on a jury for a serious case like this?
The domestic violence one was the most exciting.
The woman staged an attack and recorded the whole attack on her cellphone "accidentally".
She was screaming bloody murder and the guy was calmly saying "What are you doing? Get off of me! Leave me alone!" I was surprised, but all 12 of us found him to be innocent right out of the gate.
Its very clear.....instead of referring to him as a defendant he referred to hims as "the criminal" ......he has already branded him guilty.
I think it would be kind of interesting, but I thought the jury selection process was a bit sketchy. On one for a murder case, the defendant & lawyer are there so of course the defendants family & friends were there as well and they all looked like gangstas. Meanwhile, all the potential jurors had to stand up and say what part of town they lived in and where they worked.
