Stop reading what isn't there. What I said was accurate, the defense was going to put up a witness who was a convicted felon (not the defendant, who I believe may have had a criminal record as well). That's what the questioning was about.
Also, from what they inferred by the questioning, they pretty much had the guy on video and he ran from the cops.
