I love how you quickly blame muslims for persecuting Christians when you can open your window and see Christians at work in your own country, persecuting gays, killing blacks during the reign of the KKK, blowing up abortion clinics, killing doctors....just being assholes to other people in general.

Those aren't Christians though, I didnt know the people of today were responsible for the kkk

But a majority of them are Christian. You really should take off your cross-shaped glasses and take a good look around; that is unless you're afraid to face the truth. The bulk of the arguments against same-sex marriage and granting the LGBT community the same rights as everyone else enjoys come from a religious (and in this country an overwhelming Christian) perspective.

You really do need to study history to understand the present. No the Christians of today are fortunately not the same as the Christians who started the KKK; although the attitudes of the Christian founders of the KKK are still present in modern day society. Cross burnings do still happen although they are thankfully rare. People of different races and creeds are still treated differently in many venues; just last week Wells Fargo reached a 175 million dollar settlement for steering African Americans and Hispanics towards sub-prime loans. I'm gonna take a wild shot and guess that the overwhelming majority of those Wells Fargo loan officers are or would claim to be Christian.

That has nothing to do with the thread. As well its not only Christians who are against gays, muslims are against them as well along with other Religions

If it has nothing to do with the thread then why did you respond to SheHateMe?

That's how it is with you; you'll go back and forth with people, happily derailing your own thread or someone else's, but when someone points out an inconvenient truth or a question that you don't want to answer it's "That has nothing to do with this thread".

I'm pretty sure Buddhists and Taoists aren't against gays.

And why are Christians, Muslims, etc. against gays? Well let's see, if I were a high priest and wanted to ensure riches beyond my wildest dreams, control or domination over my followers and wanted to ensure that way of life for my family, friends and leaders; I would probably have a problem with pair-bonded relationships that couldn't produce offspring (future believers and tithers). I might even go so far as to say that G-d/Allah/Yahweh/whoever, forbids pair-bonding between those of the same gender. Unless it were between women in my harem or the concubines in my tent; then it's not only okay but encouraged!

Way to backtrack your way out of the argument. Classy.

We're talking about Christians, not Muslims. As Muslims don't attempt to run politics in this country the way Christians do (they couldnt if they tried)...I don't even know why you keep trying to change the subject of the conversation.

Except you forgot about the muslim brotherhood who is trying to gain influence in government

They are trying to run politics in this country, they already have supporters in the obama administration

LOL.

Are you serious? Its the Christians trying to get their agenda into the White House. Where did you get that Tinfoil hat? It looks lovely on you.

So, who are the supporters in the Obama Administration?

Deflect! Deflect!

Name names or get back to the topic at hand. Nebulous blanket statements don't convince or impress anyone.

Are you Christian? If so you're not supposed to bear false witness.

http://www.doublethinknot.com/2012/...ked-in-the-islamic-city-of-dearborn-michigan/

Several hundred muslim youths surrounded and pelted a group of Christians with rocks, bottles and other objects, this was at an arab festival in Dearborne Michigan and the Christians went to peacefully protest

The police witnessed the attacks and refused to help the Christians instead they sided with the muslims and told the Christians to leave or face charges
The police didn't do there job and violated the rights of Christians

If this was a group of muslims attacked by Christians or Jews there would be outrage and the police would do something

Is it time for the police to start doing something about these issues and for the government to address this problem, I believe it is because freedom is being violated and its not safe for non-muslims there

Idiots. What were they protesting exactly?

He's just yet another inane member of the poor me, fragile dwindling scared species of animal called persecuted middle-aged, white, Christian males that thinks they need protection from going extinct because they perceive their white male rights are being eroded... The Internet gives these cry babies voices... yay...

I believe the attitude you describe--"WASP senescence"--is the primary disease of our country, destroying our cultural and moral fabric. These brain-dead whackamoles refuse to gain any perspective on the realities of the world around them, because it is only "they" who matter. These dipshits truly believe they are somehow "chosen."

Everyone has freedom of speech, the violence isn't justified

freedom of speech is fine, looking for a fight/inciting a riot is not. How about these Muslims breaking out prayer mats at one of these guys functions or some other dummy wearing a Hitler outfit to a Jewish cemetary...ect

Organized religion, as a whole, has been a blight on humanity. The sooner we force people to congregate at their own homes and stop lifting these businesses up, which is what organized religion is, the sooner people can move forward and build faith in humanity as a whole instead of looking to divine redemption as the only possible salvation for mankind.
