MAJOR UPDATE

It turns out the group of Christians who were stoned filed a lawsuit against the police for not protecting their free speech rights and won!

This was a victory for the Constitution and free speech.

Everyone who attacked me and said this wasn't free speech has been proven wrong.




The festival has since been cancelled since 2013. The Christians really fought back and defended their rights and ultimately came out victorious along with letting everyone know what happened to them was wrong. Lesson learned dont attack free speech. It's a shame the festival was cancelled because of those idiots who attacked the Christians. They should continue the festival and allow the Christians to protest.

How are they activist? They had their free speech rights violated and the judges recognized that. The police kicked them out for exercising free speech which is horrible.

I had some delicious Pakistani food at an Eid al-Fatr celebration a few weeks ago. Same group gets together for a cricket game one every other month or so and brings some food. That's always a good time, too.

When I made the thread years ago it was because the Christians were viciously attacked and the police didn't do anything. They aren't spreading hate/intolerance. I don't want the festival cancelled, they have every right to have their festival. It was a group of idiots who attacked the Christians that ruined it for everyone else, they ruined it for all the other people who didn't cause problems and they ruined it for the Christians as well.

If you actually read what happened, hate and intolerance is exactly what they were spreading. Carrying a bloody pigs head and yelling you're going to burn in hell is not in keeping with any of the teachings of christ, so they're faux Christians, and they're spreading hate and intolerance. Guess you can call them something, maybe religunuts, or biblers, they sure AF are not Christians.

Now, were their 1st amendment rights not defended equally, that's what an appeals judge decided...that's all, the police could have done more is basically the finding.

But don't delude yourself and behave like the sweet little innocent Christians were just so vicously attacked for peaceful protest...that's your religion goggles on full kaleidoscope mode.
