I don't "falsely" call it Christmas. It IS Christmas...regardless of the true origins of the holiday. That was done long before I came along. You'll notice that in my first post in this thread, I acknowledged that this season has been co-opted by the early Christians...
THAT isn't my point...if you don't believe in Christ...don't celebrate "Christmas." Don't give "Christmas gifts," don't wish people "Merry Christmas," don't go to "Christmas parties," and don't put up a "Christmas tree."
Feel free to celebrate the Yule...put up a Yule log, give Yule gifts, and go to Yule parties...after all, this time of year isn't ONLY for Christmas...among many other holidays, it's also the time of Hanukkah. I'm not Jewish, so I don't celebrate that one, but don't begrudge the Jews for having "their special holiday" at the same time...(especially since theirs probably came first) Neither do I celebrate "Kwanzaa" since I'm not African...but I don't care that Kwanzaa is celebrated at this time of year.
