I just made a simple little gizmo that converts sound from a microphone into brightness in christmas lights....

Just take the microphone, put through a bypass capacitors and some opamps for gain, then to string of christmas lights...

Rock out to techno with your flashing christmas lights.

It's not the original, but it was basically the first video to get noticed by the public.

I've had computerized lights on my house since 2006, but I'm taking this year off. Every year I want to take out Wizards in Winter from the song rotation, but people really do want to see it. For better or worse, when people see computerized lights, they want WiW.
