They made a live version? A Christmas Story is the best Christmas movie of all time. Don't mess with perfection, case in point that awful Willy Wonka remake.
Looking forward to the 24-hour marathon on TBS.
You shouldnt even think about watching something like that.
I never understood why anyone liked the original movie, it was terrible...and turning it into a musical just seems like an even worse idea...
As a general rule, I like X-Mas movies...well...except for the Hallmark romance X-Mas movies my wife subjects me to... but "A Christmas Story" is just one of those movies that should never have been made.
It most certainly is not. They made a live version? A Christmas Story is the best Christmas movie of all time.
It wasn't a remake of the original movie.Don't mess with perfection, case in point that awful Willy Wonka remake.
A Christmas Story is a great movie. Especially because I can relate to many of the situations in it.
I was sort of watching The Sound Of Music for the billionth time.

How can you skip Rare Exports? It is simultaneously the very best and very worst Christmas movie that is possible to make. https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/the-best-movies-that-are-kind-of-about-christmas/So much fail! Best Christmas movies of all time:
#1 A Christmas Story
#2 Die Hard
#3 How the Grinch Stole Christmas (1966, not that 2000 travesty)
A Christmas Story literally has multiple scenes pulled straight from my childhood, including the stuck tongue (no it wasn't me!).
Because it's hilarious...
It's kinda like Krispy Kreme donuts, the first time you have one they are kinda gross. In time you have one again and they are still gross but not as bad. By the x-time you love them and look forward to it.
A Christmas Story is the same way.
well the old school movie is bad
People born after the advent of the Nintendo won't understand the movie. Christmas Story literally played out like the weeks before Christmas until the mid-70's or so.likely the reason i think its such a shit movie is because i can relate to none of it
You know what made the 2000 Grinch movie 100x better for me? Realizing that Jim Carrey is doing a really bad Sean Connery impression for the Grinch's voiceSo much fail! Best Christmas movies of all time:

Kids will never know the thrill of the giant Sears catalog coming in the mail, finding the toy section, and circling all the good stuff for "hints." Also, stores didn't carry toys until around Christmas, so walking into a department store on Dec 1st was AMAZING.
It was gone by then man....you had to be 5-6 by 1975 to relate.i was born in 81 and remember the sears catalog but the movie still does nothing for me
