Making remarkable progress how? He was completely paralyzed. It's not something that is reversible.
Best not open your mouth, lest ye look retarded.

When he was first paralyzed, he couldn't even breathe on his own. I'm not sure what all his abilities evolved to recently, but it was a lot more than laying there like a vegetable on a respirator.

BS. He still can't breathe on his own.
What the fsck are you talking about?

Then Barbara revisits a transformed Christopher Reeve. He has made remarkable progress since his accident, accomplishing things no one thought possible. Through tremendous focus and a rigorous exercise program, Reeve has regained sensation to over 70 percent of his body and is able to breathe without his ventilator, a feat he demonstrates for Barbara and for the first time in public.

Now STFU. Christ.

source?
20/20 with Barbara Walters, 11/14/03.

Here, you can buy it.

Sorry, didn't mean to sound so brash.. it was just obvious that you didn't know what you're talking about, heh.

He isn't entirely wrong. He could breathe for 45m max...barely. Below his neck - he could shrug his left shoulder. That's it. These things don't come back, even with all the therapy in the world. We goto therapy to prevent atrophy, and learn to manipulate what we've got left. I KNOW. I have the same injury.

I guess..

It was his tone that irked me the most. You CAN get better.. some more than others... sometimes not at all.

I thought Superman 1 was the best. I didn't like 2 because it ruined the Clark Kent/Lois Lane romance. Basically, in this version of the legend, Superman became a tragic hero in that movie. He can never love nor be loved. Instead, he kissed Lois and she forgot everything and he will continue to act the same way -- teasing Lois but knowing nothing can ever happen.

The reason why I'm bothered by this version is because I don't think a man can be a Superman without the love of a woman (because of personal reasons). I just don't like the idea of such a nice guy like Clark Kent never being able to experience love.

He'd be better off without the love of a woman for two very big reasons. 1) If word leaked that Superman and Lois Lane were an item, Lois would be a target. Superman would be unable to protect her all the time. And word would leak, the Superman behaves. 2) Love makes you stupid. A man with Superman's powers cannot afford to be stupid. Being stupid gets you killed. Being stupid gets other people killed.

Oh, still don't see anything on any of the major news sites.

Yes its possible...things change. My sensitivity improves a bit every once in a while. No motor improvement.

People get the wrong idea that hard work in therapy will cure this. They think wasting our lives away in PT will make us walk again, and that is honestly bullsh!t.

I won't walk again. I accept that. I'm interested in improving life with the injury. Kidneys, skin, etc.
