Ah a stupid comment from someone who never sat in a wheelchair. And yes I am in a wheelchair.
Ehhh...dont think he meant any harm by that man.
Well I guess your right, I've just gotten tired of dumb comments some people make. like for an example one time I was getting out of my car sliding onto my wheelchair and some old man WALKING by said to me "Hey that looks like a nice chair I need to get one of those for me my knee hurts".
Or the time I was in line at the grocery store and the line was long and the lady in front of me looks at me and I said "long lines what can ya do?" and she said "Well atleast you get to sit down".
That's just 2 small examples that I've come across.
There's a
huge difference between what DWW said and being told "at least you get to sit down" in the supermarket. One is (maybe a little too much) sympathetic, the other is condescending.
Life dealt you a sh!tty hand, you got screwed, however you want to think of it, you're not going to get any argument here. Taking out your frustrations on someone who's never even met you before isn't very cool though.
Back on topic, I read this in one of the links that was provided
If your bladder or bowel are not the cause, check to see if:
* You have a pressure sore
* You have an ingrown toenail
* You have a fractured bone.
:Q I can't even imagine not being able to tell that I've got an ingrown toenail or fractured bone. You don't really notice it until you think about it, but our bodies provide us with so much information, I can't imagine life without it.
